The Short Version

Cards Wild (cardswild.com) is a free online card game. It lets a player invite a friend to a specific game by text message. This is a one-time, player-initiated invitation: a single text with a link to join that game. It is purely transactional — there is no recurring messaging, and we never send marketing or promotional texts.

How You Opt In

Consent is collected in the app, on screen, before any text is sent. When a player chooses “Invite by text,” this is exactly the screen they see:

You confirm your friend agreed to receive a one-time Cards Wild game invitation. Msg & data rates may apply. Message frequency: one-time per invite. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See our Terms and Privacy Policy.

I confirm this person agreed to receive a text game invitation.

The player enters the friend’s mobile number.
They must check the box — unchecked by default — confirming the friend agreed to receive a text invitation.
The “Send invite” button stays disabled until the box is checked.
Only then is one invitation text sent.

What the Message Says

The recipient receives a single message like this:

Cards Wild: Larry invited you to play! Join: https://cardswild.com/play2/?invite=Ab3xKp — Reply STOP to opt out.

Message Frequency, Rates & Opting Out

Frequency: one-time per invite. We send a message only when a player chooses to invite someone.
Cost: message and data rates may apply.
Opt out: reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe immediately. You will receive no further messages.

Your Privacy

We use your mobile number only to deliver the game invitation you were sent and related transactional messages about that game. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties under any circumstances.
